The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Ibadan (IBEDC) power installation, Ayede, located in Akinyemi, Ibadan, has been destroyed by fire.
The cause of the fire, which occurred on Wednesday, and the extent of damage is yet to be ascertained, as at the time of this report.

However, it was gathered that the inferno destroyed some facilities at the power installation.
The city has been subsequently thrown into darkness.
