Five people have reportedly died in a plane crash Monday, at Malta International Airport. The light aircraft was bound for a surveillance mission over the Mediterranean Sea.
According to reports, the plane crashed at around 7.20am local time (0620 GMT), shortly after take off. All five French passengers on board died.
Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Defence Minister, said investigations would be carried out to determine the cause of the crash.
