Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, about three weeks ago, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is infected with coronavirus.

He said this at the rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his party, at Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.
“They said the rally should not hold because of coronavirus. It is their party that is infected with coronavirus. This is the beginning of unity in the South-West. The PDP is ready to do things according to the rule of law,” he said.

However he apologized for holding the rally despite fears of the pandemic.
Makinde on Monday announced that he has tested positive to the virus.
