A former member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Abdulllahi Shehu Dawaki, is dead.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Shehu, who represented Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State died at the weekend.
Before going into politics, Dawaki was a lecturer at the Federal College of Education (Technical) Bichi, Kano State.
He represented his constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly from 2007-2011.
This news medium learnt that the late lawmaker has been buried on Sunday in his hometown of Dawakin Kudu according to Islamic rites.
Reacting to the demise of the cleric, a former governor of Kano State and presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, said in a statement: “I express my deepest condolences to the good people of Dawakin Kudu Local Government in Kano State over the recent loss of a former member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulllahi Shehu Dawaki.
“May the Almighty Allah forgive his sins, grant him Aljannah Firdaus and comfort his family.”
