Fox has announced that there would be a new pilot that would be a continuation to popular tv series, 24: Live Another Day which aired in 2014. The new series is said to have a new cast and not the old one which starred Jack Bauer. The new series, 24: Legacy, would center on a military hero’s return to the states and the trouble that follows him back. The pilot will see him reach out to CTU for “help in saving his life, and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil,” a release said. The story would have 12 episodes.
“It doesn’t feel like it is fully replicating the original in terms of how much Jack Bauer carried by himself, but it is a very prominently-featured lead,” said chairman and CEO Fox TV Group, Dana Walden.

That lead, as previously reported, will likely be filled by a black or latino actor. “The character was originally conceived as being a diverse actor. We wanted it to be as different from Jack Bauer as possible,” she said.
24 team Howard Gordon, Manny Coto and Evan Katz would all serve as executive producers on this new chapter.
As for whether Kiefer Sutherland or any other stars from the original would be appearing, Walden said, “never say never.”
The original 24 aired 2001–10 on FOX.
