
A man, Saidi Abubaka, suspected to be gay, reportedly bit off the lips of 25-year-old Abubakar Abdulahi for refusing him sex. The matter sparked a controversy in the Ago Palace Way, Isolo neighborhood, where Abubuka and Abdulahi reside. Abdullahi later got his suspect gay attacker arrested by the police, who charged him sodomy before a Magistrates’ Court in Isolo. During his arraignment, police prosecutor, Abayomi Abass, said Abubaka’s assault on Abdulahi, and conducts breached breached public peace. Abass added that Abubaka was notorious in the area for harassing young males for sex. At the initial hearing of the case, the magistrate, Mrs. Y. R. Pinheiro, granted Abubaka bail for N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. But, when the case came up for mention on the adjourned date, it was discovered Pinhero had been transferred. A new magistrate, Joy Ugbomoiko, has been assigned to the court.
