Shehu Sani, a former senator, has advised Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to get a trusted person to help him interpret whatever may be said to him in Hausa and Fulfulde languages.
Sani gave the advice in a Twitter post on Monday while congratulating Tinubu on the occasion of his 69th birthday.
Hausa is the language spoken by the Hausa people, the dominant tribe in northern Nigeria; while Fulfulde is the language of the Fulani people, who are also resident in the northern part pf the country.
Sani’s statement may not be unconnected with the purported presidential ambition of Tinubu for the 2023 general elections.
According to Sani, Tinubu, who is currently in Kano State for his birthday colloquium, is one of the most astute politicians in the country who played a prominent role in the struggle for the return of democracy to the country.
