Rosemond Brown, a Ghanaian actress, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, will on Friday be convicted over the publication of her nude photos with her seven-year-old son.
The actress was arraigned on a three-count charge was arraigned on three counts of publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence, a conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity, and engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.
Akuapem pleaded “not guilty” when she was first arraigned but later pleaded “guilty” when she was re-arraigned on April 14, 2021.
According to EIB Network, she was convicted by Her Honour, Christiana Cann of Accra Circuit Court, on her own plea.
But her sentencing has been deferred to Friday April 16, 2021, for her to undergo a pregnancy test in compliance with the law regarding a woman who has pleaded guilty in court.
Akuapem Poloo had on June 30, 2020, displayed her naked pictures with her son on social media which sparked controversial reactions among many.
