This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by Flykite Productions, organisers of the premier boxing event. Turning Star was billed to fight the late Habeeb ‘Ige’ Oladeji, who died earlier this month.
According to the statement, Power will now face Turning Star in a national bantamweight challenge bout at Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on September 24.
“Arabambi ‘Power’ Ojo will face Tunde ‘Turning Star’ Olojede in a national bantamweight challenge bout at GOtv Boxing Night 29. The fans will find him exciting because of his explosive style,” the statement said.
Flykite Productions had earlier announced a decision to donate 35 per cent of ticket proceeds at the GOtv Boxing Night 29 to the family of the late Ige.
