Some unknown gunmen have reportedly attacked a Divisional Police Headquarters in Adani in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The attack was said to have occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, SaharaReporters quotes Daily Post as saying.
It was said that two police officers on duty were killed and several others injured, while the police station was razed.
The report said sources confirmed that the attack on the police station started around 2:30am and lasted for about one hour.
Government facilities, especially police stations have come under several attacks in recent weeks in the South-east.
Also, hoodlums on Monday, attacked a police headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra State.
The Federal Government and police authorities in the country have accused the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) of being responsible for the attacks.
However, the group has denied any involvement, saying it is not a terrorist organisation.
