Gunmen Attack Second Akwa Ibom Police Station In Two Days

Unknown gunmen have set ablaze another police station in Akwa Ibom, the second attack on a station in the state in two days.

It was gathered that the invaders set fire to patrol vehicles at the station during the attack.

Though there are no reports of any casualty, Odiko Macdon, Akwa Ibom police command spokesman, said the matter is being investigated, and promised to release an official report later.

The incident comes about 48 hours after six persons, which included five officers and the wife of a policeman, were killed in an attack on the divisional headquarters in Ini Local Government Area of the state.

Vehicles were also set ablaze during the Saturday attack.
