Some gunmen have killed a Nigerian Navy personnel, Faruk Yusuf, in Onitsha, Anambra State, one week to his wedding.

The killing of the indigene of Unguwan Sarki, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State is said to have sparked tension in the military and may force them to carry out raids and torture.
SaharaReporters report that a source said naval authorities in the state have launched an investigation into the matter.

“The naval authorities in Anambra State have already launched an investigation into the murder. They are looking for the assailants and we are hopeful we will get them. This is indeed wickedness of the highest order by these gunmen. The cold-blooded murder of a military personnel will never be overlooked by the authorities,” it quoted a military source to have said.
