Come July 31, in Asaba, Delta State, award winning Five Star music artist, Harrison Tare Okiri popularly known as Harrysong will be performing at his Peace Concert. The aim of the concert is to bring back peace into his hometown, Delta state.
Harrysong disclosed that he is using the opportunity of being a music artist to make his voice heard, as he set to stage a peace concert in Asaba, which he has tagged ‘Harrysong Peace Concert’ and is set to take place on Sunday, July 31.
He further added that, his decision is due to the recent crisis going on in the state as regards to the Niger Delta militant crisis saying: “My peace concert which is slated for July 31, it a sort of re-orientation concert in order to bring back oneness and peace to Niger Delta. Artist who are billed to perform include Patoranking, Seyi Shay, Olamide, Timaya, Orezi among others.”
Harrysong also disclosed that, he is not working on this peace project alone but also has the support of Delta state governor, his Excellency Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa. The Five Star music artist was born as the only child to Ijaw parents in Warri, Delta state. At the age of 11-years, his career started as a drummer in the church his mother served as the music director before he went on to learn contemporary gospel music.
