Silas Nweke and E.C. Obiorah, two Catholic reverend fathers, were arraigned before a Federal High Court in Awka, Anambra state, for issuing dud cheques to cement dealers after the products were delivered to them.
The so-called priests were said to have issued the cheques in the name of Holy Family Group of Companies.
They were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday.
EFCC lawyers Joshua Saidi and Henry Anaso said the priests’ action amount to taking money by false pretences.
