A Nigerian lady, identified simply as Ebube Nna, has shared on Twitter her ordeal of how a friend of hers, identified only as Bukky, who, she accommodated for years, contracted criminals to ‘rape and beat’ her in her house.

Evidence from the crime scene, Nna, pointed at Bukky who was immediately arrested and subsequently confessed to the crime on how she ganged up with the men to cause mayhem. One of the men turned out to be Bukky’s boyfriend, who just came out from prison after being remanded for years.

Nna, who narrated the incident from her hospital bed, said the incident occurred on 12 November at around 8pm. She stated that she scream and fought for her life when unsuspected men came into her home while she was bathing.

She explained that she accommodated Bukky for years before eventually moving out due to her suspicious behaviour, noting that she had not spoken to Bukky for months only to be greeted by her presence on the said evening of the incident.

According to the distraught lady, Bukky was the first to come around while she (Nna) was in the shower. Bukky, she said, enquired if Nna was alone before ushering the men inside.

Nna wrote: “On Friday 12/11/2021, past 8pm I was in my bathroom having a bath when I heard footsteps in my balcony, I paused for a minute and listened to the footsteps approach my door so I asked who it was and Bukky, a girl that lived in my house for years before I left early this year.

“I was shocked because she rarely comes around and even if she wanted to, she usually calls first. I told her to come in that I was having a bath. We exchanged pleasantries and I asked why she came around and she told me that she wanted to check on me.

“She asked if I was alone and I said yes, she asked again if my sister isn’t back and I said yes. She said alright and left while I was still having my bath”.

Nna said she came out of the bathroom without fear of any imminent danger and walked to pick up her phone as there was no electricity. A few seconds later, she said she heard another footstep and thought Bukky came back.

Thoughts, however, turned to a nightmare as unknown men pushed her door opened and pounced on her heavily.

Meanwhile, her neighbour who was upstairs was watching a movie with earphones plugged on and could not hear Nna screaming, she said.

“They pushed me into the room to my bed and one was repeatedly hitting me. When I realized what was about to happen, I started fighting harder. I got up, made it to my door which of course they didn’t know how to jam as it requires prior knowledge to jam and I ran out miraculously straight to my neighbours door, and kept calling for help.

“They caught up with me in split seconds and the beating continued while trying to drag me inside,” she said.

Nna revealed the men were working based on the information given to them by Bukky, who told her that no one was around to save her. This plan was brought to a halt after another neighbour of hers upstairs eventually heard the screams and came to her rescue. Nna was knocked unconscious as the men whisked away.

“My neighbour friend who was sleeping heard the noise, woke up and tapped her to remove her earpiece and quickly they came to my rescue. When they (the men) saw that someone was in the room, they quickly hit me with a pistol-like wood. I Collapsed and they ran out the gate”.

The culprits were eventually caught following a piece of clothing they used to cover their faces that was recovered from the crime scene. Nna immediately recognized the item as a bedsheet she gifted Bukky.

When brought in for questioning, Bukky, Nna said, admitted the bedsheet was hers and the men did not come to steal, rather to ‘rape and beat” her friend.

“When they brought Bukky in for questioning she admitted the bedsheet was hers and identified the boys. Apparently one is her boyfriend and he just got out of prison where he was remanded for a different crime and the police confirmed my case was the third case and he actually has a court hearing on the 16th for another pending case.

“During questioning, it was discovered that they didn’t come to steal but rather rape and beat me which is crazy because according to the IPO you don’t use such weapon to beat someone, you use it to kill,” Nna narrated.
