More details have emerged of how Mohammed Maisaka, a retired Air Vice-Marshal of the Nigerian Air Force, was killed in Kaduna State in the early hours of Tuesday.
It was reported that Maisaka was gunned down alongside a serving member of the air force in the Makarfi Rigasa of Kaduna around 2am on Tuesday.
Narrating what happened, a source explained that how the gunmen gained entrance into the compound remains a surprise to them as they did not enter through the gate.
“How they gained entrance into the compound, they went straight to the boy’s quarter remain a mystery,” Daily Post quoted the source, who declined to be identified, said.
“They didn’t break the gate, as it remained closed. They went to the boys’ quarter where they first picked his physiotherapist, who is also a Nigerian Airforce Personnel.”
The source added that the gunmen had assumed that the physiotherapist to Maisaka, who was paralyzed from a medical condition for about three years and in rehabilitation, should know where the retired senior air force official was being kept.
“However, due to fear, the physiotherapist led them to the room, where they shot both of them dead,” he added.
Although the deceased sister pleaded with gunmen to also kill her, their response to her was “we did not come for you”, the source said.
