Tinsel actor, Gbenro Ajibade, has opened up on the split from his wife, Osas Ighodaro.
Gbenro, as he is popularly called, explained on ‘Rubbin Minds’, a program anchored by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, on Channels Television, on Sunday, that they had their relationship and decided to go their separate ways.
He also confirmed that he has now permanently relocated to Nigeria, given that his daughter is now back to the country on the decision of his ex-wife, who is a Nigerian-American actress.

The actor revealed that he did odd jobs, including working in a warehouse and driving for the popular taxi hailing app, lyft, just to provide for his wife and daughter back home, during his three-year stay.
“I’m from a royal family and that comes with priorities in life. One of them is to settle down and have kids and all of that. Within the period all that happened  thanks goodness, she is also an American, she was in America before coming to Nigeria,so that came with it’s own priorities as well.

“I had to go and clear road, pave way and ensure that things are in place. So I wouldn’t just wait until she needs something from the American system, so I had to go to make things happen,” he said.
When Ebuka asked if he went to sort his papers, he stated:
“Not necessarily papers. Like I said, she’s American right, so the plan was to bring her up in the American way and that involves getting into the system, and getting into the system is a process, which is what you are trying to refer to.

“Before then, I had to do odd jobs at private side, me knowing fully well that I’m a king in Nigeria. At the end of the day, there is no shame in making money for your family. I was there because of my family. I had to work in a warehouse, it got to a stage where I started driving for lift…,” he added.
He said he is happy to be back in Nigeria, where he can earn money from his acting skills.
