A man, Fola Olatunji-David has said the refusal to allow his wife into the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Redemption Camp because she was wearing trousers made him quit the church.
In a tweet on Monday night, Olatunji-David said he had been taking medical supplies to the camp from Ikoyi. Having spent almost two hours in traffic, he was turned back because his wife, who was seated in their tinted car, was wearing trousers.
According to him, he was shown a board showing a list of things not allowed in the camp. He said not even his declaration that he was bringing medical supplies, of benefit to the camp, allowed him passage.
2wks ago I drove for 1hr50mins on an errand from Ikoyi to Redemption Camp to drop off medical supplies. We were not allowed to enter because my wife (who was comfortably seated inside our tinted car) was wearing trousers.
That’s when I knew I had wasted enough of my money there.
