Ace Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, has revealed that she made her relationship status public last year in order to make her fans happy.
Dominic stunned Nollywood and Nigerians when she posted loved-up photographs of herself and Fidelis Anosike, founder of Folio Media Group, in December 2020.
Anosike is the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Folio Media Group, a multimedia company that owns Daily Times Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview, the film star, who had prior to the disclosure always kept her relationship private, said she was prompted by the spur of the moment to share the news publicly.
She added that Nigerians, especially her fans, needed a bit of happiness sprinkled around them following the COVID-19 pandemic and the disruption it caused.
“That’s the thing…it just happened. Oh my goodness Chude! Anyway…It just happened, a spur of the moment, happiness. Once in a while, you want to share certain things with people and I felt like my lovers, had been there for me for decades,” she told Chude Jideonwo, a renowned media entrepreneur.
“We all had a bad year last year with COVID and we could do with some happiness.”
