John Burke-Monerville, a Nigerian man who lost three children to knife attacks in London, United Kingdom, has revealed that he had to send his children back to Nigeria over worsening knife attacks in the city.
John, who appeared with his wife, Linda, on Good Morning Britain on Monday, had lost Trevor, 26; Joseph, 19; and David, 38, in separate attacks.
Sun UK reports that Joseph Burke-Monerville was shot in a case of mistaken identity six years ago and no one had been convicted for the killing.
The eldest Burke-Monerville brother, Trevor was 26 when he was stabbed to death in 1994. Again, no one has ever been convicted for his death.
Six months after Joseph had returned from Nigeria to London with his twin Jonathan, he was shot in the head and died.
“The second set of twins – I recall one day they came home saying they got in a fight at school and a young lad who was a spectator at the time of the fight offered one of them a knife and asked him to use it.
“They came home and told us that story. The next day we talked about it and decided to repeat what we did with the first set (by sending them to Nigeria),” John said.
