A Jos man, in Plateau state, has admitted to raping an eight-year-old girl. The suspect, Wundetenan Juna, lured the minor to an uncompleted building, where he had sex with her after offering her N20. During his arraignment, the prosecutor, O.S Ocho said Nama, a farmer, committed the offence on February 2, 2018, at the Mangu Divisional police headquarters. He was further investigated by the Plateau state’s Criminal Investigation Department.
Ocho said medical examination showed bruises in the victim’s private part.
After listening to the defence and prosecution, Justice Yahaha Mohammed sentenced Nama. Mohammed said the punishment would serve as a deterrence to others like the convict.
