Elsie Okpocha, wife of a popular comedian, Bright Okpocha, who is fondly called Baskemouth, shared gorgeous images of her kid while describing her delivery ordeal after two hospitals turned her down with the caption, “My Little Miracle” on her Instagram page
She described her two-month-old daughter as her “little miracle,” but admitted there were concerns in the delivery room, as a caesarian section was ordered right away, and her baby was delivered well. She thanked God for not allowing the devil to take charge.
“On the day I was to give birth, I was rejected by two hospitals (one of which I had registered) despite the fact that I had gone into labour and my contractions were happening every two minutes; their reason was that I hadn’t done my antenatal with them, so they didn’t want to take me in case of an emergency.
“So, after 40 minutes of traveling back and forth, I was finally admitted to Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, and I can only thank God it was late so there was no traffic, because my water broke and I had a chord prolapse while in the labour room…. (I had never heard of it before that day.)
“A Cord Prolapse occurs when the cord emerges from the uterus before the fetus, causing a loss of oxygen to the baby and perhaps resulting in a stillbirth.”
