As the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), continues to clamour for the creation of Biafra Republic, Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington, has said he does not want to belong to a country of only Igbo people.

Darlington made his opinion known during an exchange with an Instagram user, who took to his page to warn him against speaking ill of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB.

The singer had few days ago, frowned at the constant sit-at-home order issued by IPOB members.

He stated that the directive was having adverse effect on residents of South-east who are forced to close their shops any day the directive is issued.

Responding to the Instagram, Darlington expressed that the diversity in Nigeria is what makes the country interesting.

“I don’t like this statement but is your opinion. A person can be whatever he or she wants to be stop limiting yourself to one time he is sacrificing for everyone…I want different ways of marriage and culture, is what makes everybody interesting all of us have different type of masquerade these differences makes us interesting. Even if we part ways with north, I still don’t want a country of IGBO people only.”
