Sadio Mane, Senegalese forward, has said he would no longer take penalties for his country at the ongoing AFCON in Egypt.
Mane, who has scored three goals so far, same with Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo, at the competition, has missed two of three penalties he has taken so far.
The 27-year-old missed and scored from spot-kicks in Senegal’s group win over Kenya, but his kick was saved by Denis Nyongo of Uganda in a last-16 encounter, which the West African team later won with Mane netting the winner.

“I missed penalties in two games and that it is not a good ratio,” the forward admitted.
The Teranga Lions will face Benin-Republic in the first quarter-final of the competition on Wednesday.
Benin shocked Morocco, considered one of the strongest title contenders, by winning on penalties after playing most of extra-time with 10-men in the Round of 16.
