Shehu Sani, the lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, has said he still remains a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking during a programme on Channels Television on Thursday, Senator Sani indicated that his membership of the ruling party is “For now, yes.”
He did not, however, if he had plans to defect from the APC.
Senator Sani said contrary to media reports of APC lawmakers being promised automatic tickets, he has not received such offer from the ruling party.
He said, “I heard that senators were promised juicy carrots and I am not a rabbit. But what I know very well is the PDP that promised the automatic tickets.
“The APC said there is no automatic ticket and I believe I am very much prepared for any form of primaries,” he added.
Senator Sani dismissed his reported suspension by the APC executive in his ward, stressing that he was used to fighting.
