Prof. Akin Abayomi, the Commissioner for Health, Lagos State, has said the Indian contractor who developed symptoms of coronavirus at the Dangote Refinery in the state has tested negative for the virus.
A report had suggested the facility was keeping a coronavirus patient. He was said have been showing symptoms of the virus on Monday.
“An Indian national that was admitted in our facility yesterday (Monday) night with symptoms suggestive of #COVID19 has tested negative to #COVID19.
“He is doing perfectly well in our isolation unit. His case will be reviewed in the morning (Wednesday),” Abayomi said on Tuesday night.
Nigeria on Tuesday announced its third confirmed case in Lagos State. The latest case was a Nigerian woman in her 30s, who returned recently from a short visit to the United Kingdom.
