The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the date for the 2023 general elections.

Prof Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the commission, said this at the inauguration of the House of Representatives Committee on Constitution Review on Thursday.

He said Nigeria is 855 days away from the election, menaing the election is scheduled to hold on February 18, 2023.
