It’s my turn actually,” Mr Tinubu said in his acceptance speech. “I am profoundly humbled to serve as the 16th President of our beloved country. This is a shining moment in the life of any man and an affirmation of our democratic existence.”

Mr Atiku and Peter Obi of Labour Party, came second and third, polling 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 respectively in a hotly contested presidential race.

Annoucment of Mr Tinubu as President-elect comes amidst huge protest by the PDP and Labour Party, calling for suspension of result collation and announcement ans outright cancellation of the election due to INEC’s failure to upload election results on its server.
