INEC Extends Deadline For PVC Collection

The Independent National Electoral Commissioner (INEC), has extended collection of Permanent Voter Cards to Monday, February 11, 2019.

Mahmoud Yakubu, INEC, made the announcement on Friday, during a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners.

At the meeting, the RECs gave situation reports on the collection of PVCs in their respective states.

With the general elections just about a week from now, the Commission had announced that the deadline for the collection of PVCs will end today, Friday.

On Wednesday, the Peoples Democratic Party had urged INEC to extend the collection period of PVCs.

PDP’s demand was based upon the numerous complaints by Nigerians that they have not been able to obtain their PVC before the deadline date.
