Promise Emmanuel, media aide to Kogi State deputy governor, Edward Onoja, has reacted to complaints by Nigerians over increase in prices of items in the country.
A Facebook user, Ademola Adigun, had listed essential needs whose prices have gone up.
“CWAY Water 650 used to be 400,” Adigun had written.
“Grand Square bread 650 used to be 300.
“Crate of egg 1600-1800 used to be 800-1k.
“Mudu of beans 1k used to be about 300.
“Titus 1 fish 900 kilo was 1k.
“What has gone cheaper….
“Death…. very cheap!
Reacting, Emmanuel jokingly lamented that pride price in his village has increased from N80,000 to N160,000.
“Bride price of 80k in my villa now 160k. This singlehood can only disappear when Buhari finishes his tenure o”, he wrote.
However, another user, Prince Godwin, said Buhari should not be blamed for the hardship in the country, but people like Emmanuel who sing praises of Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello.
He replied by saying Bello and Buhari are not the same, arguing that the former gave him a job.
“Because both aren’t the same. Political parties aren’t the same. Also, Bello gave me a job. I dont have to manage, I sing his praises because not all of us are on the streets,” he replied.
