Italian champions, Inter Milan, will have a new kit sponsor on their jersey from next season for the first time after 26 years with global tyre partner, Pirelli.
The company announced that it remains with the Nerazzurri, but in a new role.
Pirelli and Inter had signed their first kit sponsorship deal in 1995.
Andrea Casaluci, General Manager of Operations at Pirelli, said:
“A long history of sporting passion transforms and continues. We have lived through difficult moments together but above all, we have celebrated great successes. We are happy to be able to continue our relationship with one of the most important and famous football teams in the world and are proud to remain close to the team and the fans to share other moments of passion and new successes.”
Also, Alessandro Antonello, Corporate CEO of Inter, stated:
“We are happy to announce the continuation of the relationship between Inter and Pirelli, a historic and successful collaboration that has lasted for 26 years. Pirelli is part of the Nerazzurri family, and we hope that this new partnership agreement will allow us to reach new important milestones together.”
Famous Italian football journalist, Fabrizio Romano, said the club have reached an agreement with Socios as partner and sponsor on new kit starting from 2021/2022 season.
Romano added that official announcement of the new partnership is expected next week.
