The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, has commended Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere and the Yoruba Elders Council for speaking against the military operation staged in the South East, Operation Python Dance. The group, in a statement issued by its publicity secretary Emma Powerful, said the Yoruba group had earned an ‘enduring legacy which history will never forget’.
“You rose up to condemn evil and their well-oiled propaganda machinery that sought to turn upside down and make us believe that light is now darkness and darkness light.
“Your collective and individual condemnation of the evil Python Dance II, staged by the Buhari regime to suppress legitimate agitation for freedom through intimidation, slaughter of the innocent and military occupation has earned you an enduring legacy which history will never forget.
“We also commend those men and women of good conscience from across all ethnic divides in Nigeria and across the globe that condemned the genocidal campaign of this Buhari regime against the innocent civilian population across Biafra land,” the statement read in part.
