‘It’s Disrespectful To Call Out Someone On Social Media’, Says Basketmouth

Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has expressed his bitterness on the act of calling people out on social media and gave his reasons.

According to the comedian in a post shared on his Instagram story, it is disrespectful to call people out on social media especially when you have their contact number.

Basketmouth’s post may not be unconnected with the recent conformation between singer Rema and DJ Neptune on social media.

Basketmouth described the act as childishness, saying that issues can be settled off social media and can be done in private.

He wrote: ‘’There are 2 ways to call people. 1: A phone call, 2: Social media call out. The latter is lame and disrespectful, especially when you have their phone number. Just saying.”
