Daughter of one of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s pastors abducted by suspected bandits in Kaduna on Friday night, has bemoaned the sad development.

The lady, identified on Twitter as Ólòwósìbi of Kaduna, said she has never felt as helpless as she is currently over the kidnapping of her father.

She solicited prayers for her father and other missionaries who got kidnapped by the gunmen.

Armed men had kidnapped eight members of the church along Kachia road, 63 kilometres from Kaduna, the state capital.

The captives, from Kaduna Province 1, were said to be travelling to Kafanchan for a church activity when they were abducted.

A picture showing an empty RCCG vehicle with the inscription: “The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna” was shared online,

Tribuneonline quoted a source in the church as saying that the abducted persons were “adult missionaries, male and female, from Kaduna Province 1 going to Kafanchan for prayer work.”
