American singer, Janet Jackson, has split from her Qatari husband, Wissam Al Mana, who she engaged in 2012, says DailyMail. Janet Jackson had previously been married twice. The breakup is coming few months after the former couple welcome their child – a baby boy – born on January 3.
The British tabloid quoted a close source to the singer as saying the split was mutually agreed upon by the former lovers – Janet and Al Mana.
‘Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn’t working and to go their separate ways.
‘They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart. It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London,’ the source was quoted as saying.
Before now, a rumour mill speculated the couple’s estrangement after Janet was cited publicly without her ring. But it was quickly dispelled.
Al Mana, 42, is CEO of the multinational Al Mana business conglomerate and estimated to have a fortune of around £800million – at least four times Ms Jackson’s net worth.
Janet Jackson is sister to late Pop king, Michael Jackson.
