The Peter Obi Support Network, the Discover Recover Support Network for Obi/Datti, and other groups on Saturday took to the streets of Lafia in Nasarawa State, North-central Nigeria, to support Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election.
Newsbreak.ng reports that the march which was in solidarity and support of the presidential hopeful, was tagged ‘#1MillionManMarch4PeterObi.
One of the supporters, Aliyu Kigbu, said that Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed will bring a turnaround in the country.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State is one of the leading presidential contenders for next year’s general election.
Although it is his first shot at the presidency, he has a massive following among the youths, especially on social media. They call themselves ‘Obi-dients’.
The 61-year-old who was governor under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), before resigning to join the Labour Party in May to actualise his presidential ambition.
