A foreign speed boat carrying safety equipment has been intercepted by suspected armed loyalists of the Biafra Nations League (BnL) along the Atabong East high sea in Idabato subdivision of Bakassi Peninsula.
Newsbreak.ng gathered that the boat was carrying cartons of helmets to deliver to oil company engineers when their boat came under attack at about 11 am on Thursday. Items taken were two cartons of safety equipment meant to be delivered to the companies. The militants fled when Cameroonian soldiers opened fire from a distance.
BnL had vowed not to allow successful drilling of oil in the Gulf of Guinea.
