Ex-Bayelsa United and Bendel Insurance goalkeeper, Felix Levi, is dead.
Newsbreak learnt that the former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) star passed away last week in Texas, United States of America (USA) after a brief illness. He was 44 years old.
The late former athlete was raised in Uselu, Edo State. He left behind his children and wife.
In a piece of related news, NPFL stars have recalled great moments with late tactician, Maurice Cooreman.
Cooreman remains unarguably the best foreign manager to grace the Nigerian league after traversing the length and breadth of the country and winning several laurels.
Former Ocean Boys and Enyimba goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa told The Nation that Cooreman made an indelible mark in his career.
Another player who blossomed under Cooreman was Richard Bubagha who is now a coach with Nigeria Nationwide One Division One, BYT, Lagos.
Bubagha disclosed that he received the news of Cooreman’s death with rude shock.
Similarly, former NPFL highest scorer, Jude Aneke, said he was not happy for days when the news of Cooreman’s death got to him.
Cooreman died late last month in his native Belgium at the age of 79.
