The ‘Autopilot’, an offshoot of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), says it is now in alliance with the Biafra National Guard (BNG).
Newsbreak.ng reports that disapora-based separatist, Simon Ekpa, made this announcement on his known Twitter handle on Tuesday evening.
“BREAKING! I am privileged to announce that starting from today, the 2nd day of August 2022, the IPOB Autopilot & Biafra National Guard (BNG) are now in alliance to liberate Biafra by 2023. WE MOVE!” he wrote.
The BNG brands itself as the military wing for the realisation and defence of Biafra sovereignty.
It is led by Innocent Orji, a former Nigerian soldier.
This news medium learnt that the armed separatists have training camps in forests in the southeast region.
Already, Nnamdi Kanu-led IPOB group (the main IPOB organisation) has the Eastern Security Network (ESN), a group of young men notorious for its violent enforcement of sit-at-home exercises and killing of Hausa cattle and persons of Northern extraction, particularly Fulanis.
