Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu and the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Tuesday said he has served the Department of State Services (DSS) “a final administrative demand” to release his client.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Kanu, a British Nigerian, has been in the custody of the DSS in Abuja since June 2021. Accused of instigating violence in Nigeria from the diaspora, Kanu was arrested in Kenya and transferred to Nigeria immediately.
Ejimakor said he served the DSS fresh documents on Monday and urged the secret police to comply and ensure the instant freedom of the IPOB leader.
