Aloy Ejimakor, who is lawyer to the detained leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, says his client is “cheerful and looks forward to Tuesday, 13th September”.
Newsbreak.ng reports that the hearing of the appeal challenging the remaining seven-count filed against Kanu, earlier scheduled for hearing on October 11, 2022, has been brought forward to September 13, 2022.
The Appeal No: CA/ABJ/CR/ 625/2022; between Kanu vs the Federal Republic of Nigeria is challenging the seven-count upheld against the IPOB leader by Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja on May 18, 2022, after reviewing of 15 counts.

Providing an update on Kanu’s legal team’s routine visit to the Nigerian-British separatist leader, Ejimakor wrote on his known Twitter handle on Thursday afternoon: “I have concluded my today’s visitation of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, MNK. He remains the same MNK that awakened the consciousness of millions.
“He was cheerful and looks forward to 13th September. He salutes you all – the faithful and the loyal. Ndewo nu.”
