Benue governor, Samuel Ortom, has sympathised with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members and lawmakers involved in the accident that happened in Utokon community of Ado Local Government Area of the state on Friday.
NEWSBREAK reports that Governor Ortom and his entourage were heading for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial campaign rally in Igumale, headquarters of Ado, on Friday morning when the unfortunate incident occurred.
At least two members of the State House of Assembly sustained injuries.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Nathaniel Ikyur, Ortom expressed appreciation to God that the accident was not fatal and that there was no casualty.
Furthermore, the governor used the moment to caution all drivers on his campaign train to exercise caution while moving in convoy.
