The transfer market is expected to reopen on Friday, June 10, though Manchester City are reportedly set to complete the signing of one of the hottest strikers in the world, Erling Haaland, from Borussia Dortmund, Newsbreak reports.
According to The Athletic, Haaland’s move to the English Premier League (EPL) is a “done deal” and it should be confirmed this week.
It is understood that personal terms between Manchester City and Norwegian star were agreed in April, and this cleared the way for dialogue between the clubs involved.
Manchester City are set to inform Borussia Dortmund that they will pay the fee that is required to activate the release clause in the attacker’s contract, which is a reported 75 million euros (63 million pounds).
Haaland, 21, has attracted strong interest from a host of top European clubs, such as Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Real Madrid and Barcelona.
