A 49-year-old Juventus fan, who showed a gesture mimicking the Superga plane disaster during the Turin derby against Torino, has been banned from the Allianz Stadium for five years.
The Superga air disaster occurred on May 4, 1949, when a Fiat G.212, carrying the entire Torino football team crashed into the retaining wall at the back of the Basilica of Superga on the outskirt of Turin.
Thirty-one people died with no survivor on the plane.
According to calciomercato.com, the club took the decision after police identified the fan through surveillance camera in the stadium.
Also, the supporter will receive a two-year DASPO; a measure that prohibits an individual from attending sporting events in order to prevent violent aggression in the venues.
