The Kaduna State government has demolished Asher Hotel, the building that was slated to host the maiden edition of Kaduna Sex Party.
This was announced in a post on Twitter by the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Authority (KASUPDA) on Thursday.
The building located at Sabon Tasha on the outskirts of Kaduna metropolis, according to the agency, was demolished on Thursday based on its extant laws.
In its post on Twitter, KASUPDA said the hotel was found to have breached the state’s COVID-19 protocols.
It added that it will not condone facilities in the state used to host what it described as “such immoral act”.
The party received high publicity on social media and was slated for 27 December but was cancelled following an outcry in the state and the subsequent arrest of the organisers by the police.
