Officials of the Kaduna State Government Task Force on enforcing COVID-19-related regulations have rescued 140 children who are non-Nigerians from locations not authorised and licensed as schools or children’s homes in the state.
Channels Television reports that Garba Rimi, chairman of the task force, revealed on Friday that a total of 160 children were rescued.
He said 140 out of the children were rescued from Sheik Dahiru Bauchi Islamic school in Rigasa area of Kaduna, the state capital.
According to him, the rescued children are from 13 states in the north and south of Nigeria, while others are from Benin Republic, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic.
