The Kano State House of Assembly has suspended the Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, chairman of the state Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission.

According to Daily Trust, Magaji was suspended for rejecting an accountant sent to the commission by the accountant general of the state.

The Kano assembly lawmakers said they received a petition from the Office of the Accountant General of the State in the ministry of finance, on Gado’s refusal to accept a chief accountant posted to the commission.
