The Katsina State Police Command said it has arrested one of those suspected to have carried out Friday attacks in two villages that killed 30 persons and several houses burnt.
Gambo Isah, the command’s spokesperson, told journalists that the suspect came into Katsina town with the aim of selling items suspected to have been stolen from the villagers.
Isah said the military recovered nine motorcycles from the suspect, whose identity is yet to be made known.
He also said the suspect is currently undergoing interrogation.
Recall that suspected bandits stormed Tsauwa and Dankar villages in the state, where they also slaughtered animals.
