Festus Keyamo, a spokesman for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council, criticized oil-producing state governors who have remained silent after Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike revealed how he wisely used the 13% oil derivation fund he received from the President Muhammadu Buhari led government.
Slamming the governors in a tweet on Monday, Keyamo said that other governors of the South-South region had kept mum since Wike’s revelation.
“Dead silence from all the S/South Govs since the revelation by Gov. Wike. Yet, they make it a pastime to abuse Buhari’s govt everyday when they cannot account for the humongous amounts released to them by Buhari’s govt, monies PDP past govts failed to pay,” Keyamo said.
His comment comes after Wike revealed over the weekend that President Muhammadu Buhari approved the payment of funds owed to Niger Delta states since 1999.

Wike claimed that the monies have greatly benefited his efforts to improve the state’s infrastructure. He added that the projects that were just inaugurated have all been fully funded and that more will be finished before the conclusion of his term.
The governor of Rivers revealed that the money Buhari approved was money owed from the 13 percent derivation budget.
The Nigeria populace has been more interested in how other governors of oil-producing states have used their oil derivation budget as a result of Wike most recent revelation.
