Yahaya Bello, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s (today) governorship election in Kogi State, has cast his vote in his hometown in Okene.
Bello, who is the incumbent state governor, was accompanied to the Upogoro-Odenku Ward voting centre in the Okene Local Government Area of the state by his wife, Amina.
Governor Bello cast his vote and dropped his ballot paper into the ballot box at about 8:50am, with scores of journalists, observers and security operatives all observing.
His wife also cast her vote shortly after he was done.
There are nine polling units in the area with registration Code 11.
